Love Unites the Heart

Hi Friends,

Thank you so much for taking the time to vote on the title of my next novel. I’m truly touched that so many of you shared your thoughts and helped me think it through.

As my dad often said, I may have “jumped the gun” a little by asking for votes before I’d really thought about how this book would fit with my other two—Faith Lights a Flame and Hope Travels Through(https://www.amazon.com/s?k=loni+kemper+moore&crid=2GMZAFB8PV6LI&sprefix=loni+kemper+moore%2Caps%2C138&ref=nb_sb_noss_1). Those both start with literary quotes, so I wanted something similar for this one.

Honestly, the votes were so close it was almost a four-way tie! So I started searching for a meaningful quote beginning with “Love,” since the other titles focus on faith and hope.

I ended up coming across Abraham Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Proclamation from 1863. Part of it says:

“They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God... It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American people.”

I loved how it spoke about love and unity. Inspired by that, I came up with this adapted version:

“Let us give thanks not only for the blessings of the year, but for the quiet mercies that draw us together—for in gratitude, love unites the heart, and a nation remembers itself.”

It feels like the right fit for Love Unites the Heart.

Thanks again for all your help and encouragement.

Watch for the book, LOVE UNITES the HEART, to appear this summer!

Warmly,Loni

I like: When the Cottonwoods Whisper

I wouldn't put Before WW II. That takes away the sweetness and mystique of the title for me. I can't wait to read this book!

What the Dust Remembers is stunning on several levels. There was no question for me that this was the one!
